Life.Changing.Experience! Trust Him and the Process!! - I had my procedure a year ago in June 2022. I would’ve write a review sooner, but it wouldn’t have been as meaningful. The office itself is beautiful, clean, and pristine. I felt a sense of calm and comfort the moment I opened the door. And that is something you don’t realize you need until your nerves start to strike.The staff is absolutely caring!! Any time you call or have a question, you speak to them directly; never a voicemail or automation. They remember you by name and build a bond with you immediately. I never felt, and still do not feel, like a generic patient when I see them. After my procedure, I called and Dr. Martin himself answered and spoke to me directly. How often does that happen?!. On my first consult, Dr. Martin listened to my concerns and then provided his professional opinions and feedback. Trust him and the process! He knows what he is doing and he is a perfectionist. When it comes to your body, you do not want anything less than that.I have read that his “bedside manner is lacking”. If you truly feel that way, then you did not do as instructed or had unrealistic expectations (that he will warn you about). He comes off a bit quiet and serious, at first, but I took it as him being thorough and that what needed to be done was not something to be taken lightly. The more time spent prior to my actual procedure and the follow-ups after, he became more talkative. His professionalism should be appreciated. He respects his patients fully and they respect him as well. This past year I have watched my body change just as Dr. Martin told me it would. It looks PERFECT! Everything he said to look out for and do, I have. I said it before and I’ll say it again… Trust Him and the Process!! DR. Martin and his team are so easy to talk with and are amazing. I had breast implants that had scar tissue surrounding the breast implants. This had happened at the very beginning and I had kept them for far too long. My breast was hard and hurt every day. My breast was leaking and all the medical DR’s I went, and saw could not tell me why. I made an appointment with DR. Martin’s office and from the moment I walked through the door they greeted me like family. I had my consult and DR. Martin whom gave me 2 chooses: 1. to remove the implants and scar tissue and put implants back in (however they could still have the scar tissue grow back) Or 2. to have the implants removed, scar tissue removed and do a lift. I chose option 2 and I am so happy I did my breast are perky and cute and I have no leakage and for the first time in 15 years I can lie on my stomach. Thank you! When searching for a plastic surgeon for a tummy tuck, I relied on Google searches. I called two surgeons and my first appointment was with Dr. Martin. I found all of his staff to be super friendly. From the phone call, to checking in, to my nurse and with Dr. Martin himself. He made me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions directly. I left his office feeling peace about my consult that I never went to meet with the second surgeon I called. I went to Dr.Martin for a consultation back in November of 2021 after my drastic weightloss. The office was clean, the staff is so sweet and caring, and was given multiple options for my surgery. He was very clear on what to expect, healing time, and aftercare of my surgery. In March of 2022 I had a 360 Lower Body Lift and every phase I went through he answered my questions, nurses called me back, and reassured me to trust the process. Even though I wanted my tubes pulled early and hated every minute of it, he was right on with leaving them in. Without his expertise on it I probably would of had swelling I didn’t want. In the end Dr Martin is a gem in the Dothan plastic surgery area. I’m so happy I went with him and I’m amazed on how well my scars are so minimal! What ever you do, don’t sleep on seeing him. For my 40th birthday I wanted to give myself the gift of a tummy tuck. Dr Justin Martin came highly recommended to me by a co worker. After a very thorough consultation I scheduled the surgery. Dr Martin told my husband as I was being taken back for surgery that , "he would see him tonight", at almost 8pm we had given up on seeing him but sure enough here he came walking in the door. Dr Martin told me I wouldn't have any pain just soreness and that was definitely the case. I was up walking around by 7am the next morning when Dr Martin made his rounds. The care I received from Dr. Martin and his staff was incredible! The office was clean and quiet and is scheduled so that there is very little waiting time in the waiting room or the exam room. Dr. Martin and his staff were VERY PATIENT and KNOWLEDGEABLE. 10 years prior, I had saline implants that I was only Ok with (they were done by another doctor). I could always feel the ripples in them. It was time for me to get them checked, and I was ready to go a little larger. I was very scared because one, it was a surgery, two, I didn’t want to go through the pain, and three, it was during Covid. I came here about a year ago for a consultation and knew right away that he was the one I wanted to see. I came all the way from Gadsden, Al just to see him and I don’t regret it at all. I had a breast reduction. He was very excellent and thorough he marked me up multiple times before surgery and made sure it was perfect before starting. He was excellent to make sure I was in good hands before sending me all the way home and even helped to get a night stay at the hospital from my insurance. You could tell he cared a lot about his patience health and wanted to make sure that nothing bad happened. He made everything so effortless with worrying about things and now a year later and my scars look amazing. I am 64 years old and decided to get a lower face lift (neck and jowls) I went to one surgeon for consultation . He turned out to be very insulting and extremely rude. Well, I lost heart. It took me several months, researching and with the help of my daughter (she is an esthetician). I finally decided to try one more surgeon in the same area where I live . Dr Justin Martin of Martin Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Dothan , AL. I was so apprehensive about another consultation, however, I really wanted to have the surgery. By the time I left that consultation, I was ready for surgery. We had decided along with the Neck and jowls lift I would also get fat injected into my cheeks. Excellent, trustworthy, kind doctor. I had my breast implants (saline from 2000) removed April, 2019. Dr Martin listened to my concerns and was supportive of my decision to explant. He advised me he would attempt to remove the entire capsules and ultimately was able to do so. I healed well and look better than I could have hoped for back to my natural self. The concerning symptoms associated with "breast implant illness" have resolved. I thank God that he led me to this kind, nonjudgemental young doctor and staff that treated me so professionally. So far my experience with doctor Martin and his staff, especially Sabrina, has been great! I’ve been there twice. Once for my primary breast augmentation consultation and the second time I went back to try the sizers on one more time before surgery. I’ve called and emailed them a lot and have changed my surgery date and they’ve been so cool about it all. Worked with me on everything. The successful pre-op consultation involved Dr. Martin calmly and carefully drawing on my breasts with a Sharpie. Witnessing Dr. Martin taking time to execute a painstakingly detailed outline of the surgery gave me the confidence I needed to relax. The recovery is pretty tough for the first week (I saw Dr. Martin 2 days later per the schedule and two weeks post op) but as the weeks go by the soreness incrementally diminishes and at 6 weeks I felt tremendous! Today I am about 3 months out and my scars have healed nicely, my nipples are beautiful----actually PERFECT---the artistry astounds me! I felt and feel taken care of by Martin Plastic Surgery and when I called the office for a question between appointments; the nurse quickly responded! My self esteem is at an all time high and I am inspired to take care of my body like I never have before. Went to see Dr. Martin for an explant with capsulectomy. He spent the better part of an hour with my husband and I going over the surgery, outcome, and possible complications. He also answered a numerous amount of questions I had. His office staff was very helpful, even tried filing the surgery with my insurance company (they denied my claim??), and always responded to my questions or messages quickly. I can say I'm more than pleased with my outcome. He did everything as I requested, got all the capsule out and even took pictures of my removed implants and capsules. I had Breast cancer in my left breast March of 2016. My surgeon told me wait a year and go see Dr. Justin Martin for reconstruction surgery on my right breast. I went to see Dr. Martin and on July19, 2017 he did the surgery on my right breast. They had taken a big section out my left breast whe they did the cancer surgery so Dr. Martin went in and made the right breast smaller to try to match the left, fantastic job, no bruising. My experience was amazing! - I had a breast reduction 1 year ago. It was the best decision I could have made considering I went from a 38G to a 38D. The day after my procedure I felt so good that he had to remind me to take it easy. I was back at work in 14 days and never had any type of setback with recovery. I had my first child at a very young age and then my second many years later. I believe it is important today more than ever to give credit when due. The divide that exist today in all sectors of our society will continue unless the apathy shown by many is not curbed. Example: Due to some bad choices by me in my youth and into my late thirties, I exposed my body to harsh sun rays by spending time on beaches and its waters. I experienced my first skin cancer when I was 38 years of age. I am now 76. If all the scars left by the removals of my skin cancers were connected with a pen it would shame the best Tattooer’s art collection. By no means, am I minimizing the previous Doctors and Surgeons that helped me during these years. Just recently, my Dermatologist connected me with Dr. Justin P. Martin, M.D., Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Dothan, Alabama for the removal of two (2) Melanomas. Both removals were successful. But to a greater extent, Dr. Martin’s persona was such that if a description of the traits that a Doctor should possess one would see those of Dr. Martin’s. It would be hard to include the scars that were left by Dr. Martin’s surgeries in the “connect the dots” above as the scars are hardly noticeable. Wait, there is more. Gummy Bear Implants Are Finally Out! - I decided to have my mentor cohesive gel implants (behind the muscle) removed. I had a few consultations with other plastic surgeons, and a lot of research. I was contemplating traveling to another state, but then had a few friends suggest that I talk with Dr. Martin. I am so glad I did. He has a great bedside manner. He didn't try to discourage me from the surgery as others had. He listened to what I wanted and gave me solid information. I asked for the capsules to be removed, and he agreed without hesitation. His office staff were friendly and helpful. And I didn't have to wait very long AND his practice was close to home. I ultimately chose him for the surgery and I couldn't be happier. I actually think my breasts look better now than they did with the implants. He used the same incision site from where I had the implants put in and the scars are very small and healing really well.
