Breast Lift Overview

I'm Justin Martin, owner of Martin Plastic Surgery, and today we'll be talking about breast lifts. 

The goals of the breast lift surgery are to remove this extra skin, not necessarily remove breast tissue, but just skin and to reshape the breasts into a more natural youthful shape, and to move the nipple and areola back up to their appropriate place on the breast. My goal is to create a breast that is proportional to the rest of the patient's body and that has a natural and youthful shape. 

This is an outpatient procedure. You come in, have it done, go home the same day. The typical recovery time is about four to six weeks. After surgery, when they've healed and see their final result, patients are a lot more confident. You can just tell. They don't have to tell you that. You can tell. They're smiling, talking more. Just creates more confidence in their bodies that they didn't have before.
